Brussels Mennonite Centre
Centre Mennonite de Bruxelles
Mennonieten Centrum te Brussel
Founded in 1980, the Brussels Mennonite Centre promotes peace education and organises peacebuilding related activities in Belgium and farther afield. Programmes supported by the Centre have included conflict transformation and mediation training in Europe and Africa; peace education for children; studies on Anabaptist history, thought and practice; theology of non-violence and reconciliation; dialogue on Nato and security in Europe; and seminars on various aspects of peacebuilding in Europe and elsewhere.
The Brussels Mennonite Centre is affiliated with the Mennonite World Conference, is a member of the Church and Peace network and the European Mennonite Peace Committee (EMFK), and a partner of the Brussels-based Quaker Council for European Affairs. Its work has been supported by the Mennonite Mission Network and Mennonite Central Committee. The Centre cooperates with and offers its services to a broad range of church and non-church bodies.
